This website is run by Agfa HealthCare NV. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website.

We are working on assuring that in conjunction with browser accessibility features and accessibility add-ons our website is accessible for most users with all levels of abilities. We strongly recommend users to add the desired accessibility add-ons to their browser.

For example, by activating the add-ons, you should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts
  • zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate most of the website pages using just a keyboard
  • navigate through the website in a consistent way (navigational mechanisms are repeated on all webpages)
  • visit the website at your own pace and consult pages and content without any time limit
  • navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)
  • when filling out a form, be alerted when an error is automatically detected. After submitting a form, you will receive a confirmation of the correct submission
  • add auto-generated captions to most videos presented on the website

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to ‘the non-compliances’ listed below.

Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons:

  1. Some tables in content do not have table row headers when needed. This means assistive technologies will not read the tables correctly. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.3.1 (Info and Relationships).
  2. Some pages cannot be found through more than one type of navigation. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 2.4.5 (Multiple Ways).
  3. Some documents are in less accessible formats, for example PDF.
  4. Images on some pages do not always have suitable image descriptions. Users of assistive technologies may not have access to information conveyed in images. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.1.1 (Non-text Content).

When we publish new content we strive to make sure our use of navigation, images, documents and tables meets accessibility standards.

We are working on assuring that in conjunction with browser accessibility features and accessibility add-ons our website is accessible for most users with all levels of abilities. We strongly recommend users to add the desired accessibility add-ons to their browser.

Disproportionate burden

We’ve assessed the cost of fixing the issues with accessibility for the current content of the website. We believe that doing so now would be a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility regulations

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

When we make changes to the website or publish new content, we strive to make sure our use of navigation, images, documents and tables meets accessibility standards.
