Together with the rest of the world, we are carefully monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak on a global, regional and local level. Our number one concern is to protect the health and safety of the care providers we serve, their patients, our employees, our partners, and our communities.
As a healthcare IT partner, we feel deeply committed to support our clients. With healthcare workers giving their all, we’re focusing on acting fast in order to support them in what is probably the worse health emergency of a generation.

Over the weekend, our Irish colleague Stephen Naughton, Clinical Application Specialist at Agfa HealthCare, shared his experience supporting a Radiologist who was concerned about being able to work should the need to self-isolate arise.

The radiologist’s hospital already had a VPN connection  available, and within 20 minutes of assembling the spare clinical review workstation (HP Z240s) and a Barco Clinical Monitor, the radiologist was able to log in and report in his own home using full speech recognition and Enterprise Imaging, using his own profile from the hospital.

Images were instantly available over a normal broadband connection and using a clinical or diagnostic monitor this could be run from a laptop with VPN access.

Thank you, Stephen, for sharing this story.
