Agfa HealthCare Australia was recently awarded the 2020 Australian Defence Force Reserves National Employer Support Award in the Medium Private Organisation category in recognition of the support that it has offered to Gordon Dunlop, Agfa HealthCare’s ASPAC Services Manager.
In addition to Gordon’s significant responsibilities both at Agfa HealthCare as Regional Services Manager, and at home with a busy family, he also serves as a Major in the Australian Defence Forces Reserves and the Officer Commanding 9 Close Health Company – 11th Combat Services Support Battalion, in Brisbane Queensland. As part of this role Gordon leads a sub-unit of 70 part-time Army Reservists consisting of Medics, Nurses, Medical officers, and other Allied Health personnel, providing health support and effects for the Australian Army in both overseas and domestic operations.
Agfa HealthCare was recognised for the progressive approach that it offers its employees in providing them the ability to maintain a high level of commitment to both their civilian and their reserve careers. Agfa Healthcare have supported Gordon’s attendance on various exercises and deployments and acknowledge the invaluable experience and skills he gains and can bring back to Agfa HealthCare.
